Our Hospice Services

Pinnacle Hospice Care provides terminally ill patients with customized care and support to continue a comfortable and pain-free life, while managing the individual's other symptoms, so the patient’s last days are met with dignity and quality, surrounded by their loved ones.

Hospice care’s objective is to provide comfort care rather than a cure for the terminal illness. For a patient to qualify for hospice care a physician must establish the patient has a prognosis of 6-months or less of life, taking into consideration the patient’s illness will run its natural course.

Our hospice team members, including registered nurses, will care for the patient in their home with scheduled visits. Our nurses are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for emergency visits or to answer questions you or your family may have.

There can be many indicators when deciding if it is time for hospice care. Some common indicators include visiting the hospital frequently for complications due to a disease, increased pain even though you are currently taking your pain medication, significant weight loss, or labored breathing and shortness of breath.

Private health insurance plans mostly pay for hospice care services as most follow the Medicare guidelines.
