Palliative care is given to a patient by a team of specially trained doctors, nurses and other specialists when one becomes seriously ill. This team of specialists, work together with a patient’s current doctors. Palliative care is appropriate at any age and at any stage in a serious illness, and it can be provided along with curative treatments.
