Adherence to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services

What sets Pinnacle Catholic Hospice apart is our unwavering commitment to the Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) for Catholic Health Care Services. These directives, established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, guide our approach to end-of-life care, ensuring that every decision upholds the sanctity and dignity of human life.

Our hospice company and staff are even more committed than ever to serve those of all faiths and ensuring that the end-of-life care provided is based on hospice's founding Christian principles and the Vatican's position on care of the dying.

Our Catholic Hospice Philosophy

Catholic hospice care recognizes that death is a natural part of life and that every person deserves compassionate care that honors their God-given dignity. Our approach includes:

Spiritual Accompaniment: Our ordained chaplain and spiritual care team provide sacramental support, prayer, and spiritual guidance to patients and families throughout the hospice journey, including Last Rites and Anointing of the Sick.

Ethical End-of-Life Care: We adhere strictly to Catholic moral teaching regarding ordinary and extraordinary means of preserving life, ensuring that care decisions align with the patient's faith and values.

Dignity in Dying: We believe that the dying process is a sacred time. Our team ensures patients receive compassionate care that alleviates suffering while respecting the natural process of dying.

Family and Community Support: We work closely with local Catholic parishes, hospital chaplains, and community organizations to provide a seamless support network for patients and families.
